Life Skills
Life Skills is our signature group obedience program designed to help dogs thrive in
everyday life. Open to dogs of all breeds and ages, this class focuses on building a strong
relationship, clear communication, and real-world reliability between you and your dog.
Using positive reinforcement and game-based training methods, teams will learn how to work
successfully around common distractions such as other dogs, people, toys, food, and busy
environments. The program emphasizes both engagement and neutrality — teaching dogs
when to focus in and when to calmly settle.
Skills covered include loose leash walking, reliable recalls, impulse control, calmness around
distractions, polite greetings, and everyday manners to help your dog become a confident, well-
rounded companion both at home and in public.
Class Format:
● 6 week program, 1 hour per week
● Dogs attend every week
● 5 dogs per class
What to bring:
● Treat Pouch
● MANY treats including high value treats such as liver, beef lung, cheese, hot
dogs, chicken, etc.
● A regular 4-6 foot leash
● A regular flat collar or harness
● In later weeks - a dog bed
