TRick Training
This is a fun and engaging 5-week group class designed to build
confidence, strengthen teamwork, and teach dogs exciting new skills through positive
reinforcement training.
Based on the Do More With Your Dog! Trick Dog Program, this class is
suitable for dogs of all breeds, ages, and experience levels.
Handlers will learn reward-based training techniques while improving communication,
engagement, and overall handling skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. In
Additional to being mentally enriching for dogs, trick training is an excellent way to strengthen the
relationship between dog and handler while building focus and enthusiasm for learning.
Throughout the program, teams will work on a variety of beginner tricks and training concepts,
including sits, stays, spins, paw work, target training, focus games, beginner freestyle
movements, trick combinations, and short routines. Dogs participating in the class will also have
the opportunity to qualify for their Novice Trick Dog Title at the end of the program.
Class Format:
● 5 week program, 1 hour per week
● Dogs attend every week
● 5 dogs per class
What to bring:
● Treat Pouch
● MANY treats including high value treats such as liver, beef lung, cheese, hot
dogs, chicken, etc.
● A regular 4-6 foot leash
● A regular flat collar or harness
